References to 1970s design add context to the form without making the design feel literal.

DetailsThe interest in Dorotea Dining Chair comes from how the main volumes are resolved rather than from added decoration. Inspired by Milanese bar chairs of the 1970s and the Austrian style of Josef Hoffman, the Dorotea chairs finds its place clearly in the 21st century. Its sculpted wood structure and seductively elegant back make it an ideal pairing for any setting, be it in chair, armchair or barstool versions. Dorotea chair has a solid wood structure and legs available in standard finishes.
Dorotea Dining Chair works naturally around a dining table, but its shape has enough character for hospitality or occasional use as well. Repeating it keeps a larger setting calm; using one or two lets the design read more like an accent.
“Choose the fabric or leather with the surrounding materials in mind, and avoid treating the seat as a standalone colour decision.”
The upholstery is a large part of how Dorotea Dining Chair will read in a finished room.
Let the wood and upholstery create the main contrast. Natural textiles, a quieter rug and one simple table surface will keep the room warm without making it feel overly coordinated.
