Swedish cutlery since 1856. Still laid for the Nobel Prize.
Gense began in Eskilstuna, Sweden, in 1856 and has made cutlery ever since. Since 1982 it has been a purveyor to the Swedish Royal Court.
Its designers gave Sweden some of its best-known patterns: Folke Arström's Thebe in 1944 and Focus de Luxe in 1955, and Gunnar Cyrén's Nobel, made for the Nobel Prize and still used at the ceremony in Stockholm.
