Barbara Bed
The relationship between wood, cast or metal detailing and upholstery gives the piece much of its visual character.

DetailsBarbara Bed is most convincing when you look at the relationship between its outline, support and main surface. A rounded headboard extends slightly over the sides and encircles a solid surface that rests on four bases with rounded edges. Barbara Bed is a bed with soft, enveloping lines.
Barbara Bed is designed to anchor the bedroom, so give the headboard enough wall space to read as the main gesture. Keep bedside pieces lower and simpler if you want the bed’s silhouette to remain the focus.
“Because the bed is made to order, final upholstery and finish choices can be treated as part of the room scheme rather than an afterthought.”
The upholstered form makes the bed feel visually complete even with simple bedding.
Let the wood and upholstery create the main contrast. Natural textiles, a quieter rug and one simple table surface will keep the room warm without making it feel overly coordinated.
